Just Wild About Wildwood

We've got the scoop on some new attractions set to appear on Wildwood's boardwalk this summer—be sure to check them out.

Wildwood’s boardwalk boasts three bustling amusement piers with more than 100 rides and attractions. Not enough? This summer the seaside playground is adding three new attractions to get your blood pumping (or at least satisfy your morning hunger).

Breakfast in the Sky: Morey’s 156-foot-tall Giant Wheel at Mariner’s Landing Pier is now serving breakfast. Diners are seated in one of 16 gondolas reserved for this high-flying culinary experience. A white tablecloth is draped over the center table and breakfast is served to each guest (gondolas can accommodate up to four people). Riders are lifted slowly on the Ferris wheel, with plenty of time to enjoy breakfast with a view at the top. The menu is handcrafted by Morey’s executive chef Walter Jurusz and includes dishes like smoked salmon scrambled eggs, shrimp and lobster omelet and a freshly made Belgian waffle. The experience, which lasts approximately one hour and 15 minutes, costs $85 for two; each additional diner is $40. For reservations, call 609-846-1624.

It: Think you can you handle It? Morey’s new thrill ride “spins, swings and flies” riders 65 feet above Surfside Pier for up to two minutes. Passengers are secured with a lap-bar system—instead of traditional shoulder restraints—to allow greater freedom of movement. It costs eight tickets to ride and is included in Morey’s wristband package.

House of Haunts:
This new fright attraction on Sportland Pier is a 3,000-square-foot walk-through haunted mansion with animatronics, special effects and live-actor scare zones. Designed to resemble an old haunted manor, the facility features relics from many former haunted houses on the East Coast, including some of the only surviving props from Wildwood’s own Castle Dracula. Admission is $8. Open from noon to midnight.
