Everybody loves visiting a show house. It’s an amazing opportunity to enter a grand home and see the latest in decorating ideas from top designers.

This is something of an off year for designer show houses around our state.

Two of the biggies, the Hackensack Designer Show House (sponsored by the Hackensack University Medical Center) and Mansion in May (sponsored by the Woman’s Auxiliary of Morristown Memorial Hospital) won’t roll around again until 2010.

Still, there are numerous home, garden, and kitchen tours worth checking out. Here are a few recommendations:
